SEPTEMBER 1: The Power Of Belonging
Creating workplaces, communities and everyday spaces where everyone feels seen, valued and able to be themselves.
September is a month of new beginnings, fresh routines and reconnecting with the people and spaces around us, making it the perfect time to think about something we all need, wherever we are in life: belonging.
This month, we are moving beyond the idea of belonging as simply being included and exploring what it really means to feel seen, valued, heard and accepted. Whether that is within our workplace, our community, our friendships or the wider world.
Because belonging is not about everyone being the same, and it is not about changing who we are to fit in. It’s about creating spaces where there is room for difference, where people can bring their whole selves and where everyone has the opportunity to feel that they matter.
Throughout September, we’ll explore the small moments, attitudes and choices that can make someone feel welcomed rather than overlooked, connected rather than isolated and valued rather than simply present.
Because belonging is something we all need, and something we can all help create.
