How the EDI Health Check works

  • Step 1. Leadership Alignment

First up, we align your leaders. You can choose to have this session facilitated by us, or do it yourself. It takes around an hour and it works. Plus, there’s zero long form answers or uploading of evidence necessary.

  • Step 2. Employee Assessment

Simply send a single link out to all your employees (there’s no integrations and no uploading of employee data). Leave your employee assessment open for 3 weeks and monitor completion progress via your dashboard.

  • Step 3. Results

As soon as you close your Employee Assessment your results are immediately available. They’re deeply diagnostic and packed with recommendations. We’ll help you analyse your results and build your action plan.

Step 1: Leadership Alignment via Self Assessment

The first stage is all about Leadership Alignment.

Quick, easy and impactful

When you complete your Self Assessment as a team we call this a Leadership Alignment session. It’s just 70 questions and takes around an hour when completed as a team. You can do this either in person - or on a video call. This stage is all about facilitating a discussion between you so there’s no long form answers and no uploading evidence. The answer options are simply Yes, No, In Progress or I Don’t Know.

A Guided Discussion about EDI - often for the first time

As a leadership team, when completing the Self Assessment, you get the opportunity to sit down, as a group, and collaboratively agree on exactly where you are at with EDI as an organisation. This is usually the first time leadership teams have done this - and it's invariably a very fruitful discussion; getting to hear where everyone else thinks you are, and sharing your own thoughts.

Motivating the Leadership Team - to act on your results

The Self Assessment also has the benefit of allowing the Leadership team to 'size' EDI for the first time; many Leadership Teams shy away from EDI because they feel over faced, they don't know where to start, and they can often hold an existential view of EDI: "how can we solve systemic racism and bring about gender equality? We're just one company!".

The Leadership Alignment session brings EDI into relation with "what we can do in our organisation" - and this has a highly motivating impact on the team.

Engage the Leadership Team with the Employee Assessment

After the Leadership Alignment session, leaders tend to be really curious to find out what the employees will say, and how that will compare to what they thought as a Leadership team. After having completed the Self Assessment, Leadership Teams tend to be more inclined to encourage employees in their orgs to engage with the Employee Assessment.

Privacy and Safety

Nobody sees the Self Assessment results except the Leadership team (as they are answering the questions in the session), and the system administrator who can see the dashboard containing the answers they gave. Results are protected by 2 factor authentication and locked down to only those employees to specifically choose to share them with.

The Self Assessment is just 70 questions and takes around an hour when completed as a team. You can do this either in person - or on a video call.

There’s no long form answers and no uploading evidence. The answer options are simply Yes, No, In Progress or I Don’t Know.
