Giving voice to the unspoken, courage to the conversation and power to the stories that deserve to be heard.
Some of the experiences that affect us most deeply are also the ones we find hardest to talk about. Whether it's because of embarrassment, fear or simply years of being told to carry on, silence can become something we grow used to, even when what we're experiencing deserves to be heard and understood.
This November, at Powered by Diversity, we're exploring Breaking the Silence, a month of conversations about women's health, men's mental health, bullying and domestic abuse, looking at why these experiences so often go unspoken and what it really means to create environments where people feel safe, respected and supported. We're beginning with women's health, exploring the concerns that have too often been dismissed or normalised, and why meaningful change starts not simply with encouraging people to speak, but with how we choose to listen.
