SEPTEMBER 5: You can feel lonely in a crowded room
Creating workplaces, communities and everyday spaces where everyone feels seen, valued and able to be themselves.
We often think of loneliness as something that happens when we are on our own, but some of the loneliest moments can happen when we are surrounded by people.
A busy workplace, a family gathering, a social event or even a room full of friends can still leave someone feeling disconnected when they do not feel able to truly participate, speak openly or be themselves.
As we continue exploring the Power of Belonging, today we are looking at why being around people is not always enough, and why the quality of our connections matter far more than the number of people in our lives.
Because sometimes, we don’t need a bigger crowd, we just need to feel that there is a place for us within it.
