Using lived experience to celebrate our communities, share their stories and build greater understanding.
This week, our Black Month History Honouring Our Communities journey moves into Community & Connection, exploring what can happen when we step beyond the experiences most familiar to us and make space for perspectives shaped by lives very different from our own.
Meaningful connection doesn’t depend on having everything in common or understanding another person through the lens of our own experience. It can grow simply through being willing to listen and allowing somebody else’s story to remain their own, and this week we’re exploring what that can teach us about one another.

This session will cover the journey of realisation and acceptance upon learning that you are transgender. It will cover the realities of trans life; the joys and difficulties. The session will cover the after effects of the Supreme Court Judgment of April 2026. There will be an open Q&A which can shape the session.
