August 30: A Love Letter To Parents (You Smashed it)
This month is an invitation to challenge our way of thinking. Let’s Talk Honestly About the realities of family life during the summer holidays.
As the summer holidays begin to come to an end, many parents may find themselves looking back over the past few weeks and wondering whether they did enough.
Throughout this series, we have explored the pressures parents can experience during the summer holidays, from balancing work and family life to managing finances, finding time to rest and trying to create meaningful memories. As we reach the penultimate day, this post is a reminder that your value as a parent was never measured by how much you planned, spent or achieved.
Today is a love letter to every parent who kept showing up, even when the days were busy, difficult or far from perfect.
Because your children needed love, care and the reassurance that they mattered. And in all the quiet ways you supported, comforted and listened, you gave them more than you may realise.
You smashed it.
