This month is an invitation to challenge our way of thinking. Let’s Talk Honestly About the realities of family life during the summer holidays.
Yesterday, we explored the idea that expensive doesn’t always mean better and that the value of a family experience cannot be measured by the amount of money spent. Today, we’re taking that conversation a little further by celebrating the simple, free moments that can become some of the memories children carry with them long after the summer has ended.
When financial pressure is already weighing heavily on parents, the expectation to fill six weeks with exciting activities can feel overwhelming. Social media, advertising and conversations about holidays can all create the impression that a happy childhood requires constant entertainment, expensive days out and a calendar full of carefully planned experiences.
Regardless of the cost, the moments that stay with children are the ones in which they felt connected, included and free to simply enjoy being together.
Today’s blog is a reminder that a free day does not have to be an empty day, and that meaningful family time does not have to be expensive.
