Some of the people who contribute most to a community can be the easiest to overlook, not because what they do isn’t valued, but because their presence has become such a familiar part of everyday life that we simply expect it to be there.

As we continue Honouring Our Communities, we’re taking a moment to notice the people whose influence often happens quietly in the background, and to consider why recognising their contribution while it is still happening can become an important part of the community story itself.
