Shivani Uberoi

Shivani Uberoi is passionate about creating workplaces where everyone can be themselves, going from working as an accountant to driving gender equality and wellbeing in the workplace.

Having worked a successful career with major corporations, Shivani is famed for being the Founder of the Women@ Sky Network and the Co-Founder of the Multiculture@ Sky Network. She now is a Certified career and wellbeing coach for women, and drives inclusion in companies by training managers and running development workshops on 'Thriving in your career whilst navigating bias'.

Back in 2004, Shivani began working as a Chartered Accountant for PwC, learning the ropes of the financial sector. After working there for almost four years, Shivani moved on to work as a Business Analyst for Tesco before travelling the world volunteering, teaching children English and maths in India. In 2010, Shivani first joined Sky, working as a Finance Analyst before being promoted to Senior Finance Manager. By 2012, Shivani had built the Business Case for Diversity at Sky, orchestrating successful culture change and improving gender parity. Such commitment saw Shivani appointed as the Head of Women In Leadership for Sky, breaking glass ceilings in a male-dominated environment. In 2017, Shivani launched the Women@ Sky and Multiculture@ Sky networks empowering and connecting over 7,000 people in these communities.

After maternity leave, Shivani launched the Mental Health Empowerment Programme for Sky, inspired by her own challenges of being a working mother. Renowned for her impact at Sky, Shivani has since become the Founder of The Wallflower Academy, an organisation that works with other companies to ensure that they are driving agendas of gender equality and optimising employee wellbeing.

In reward of her committed work, Shivani has been honoured with the WISE Award for Top Employer on behalf of Sky, which was awarded to her by HRH The Princess Royal, awarded the Top Employer and Career Progression Awards from workingmums.com and personally received Future Leaders Award from Citywomen in 2017.
