I’m Charlotte Speak, mum of two, change maker and coach for parents in the workplace, and avid theme park explorer.
I set up Power of the Parent® in 2018 after my own dodgy experiences of becoming a parent in the workplace (several chapters for the book I keep thinking I’ll get round to writing one day!).
Those experiences changed me for life and left me feeling hell bent on changing the world of work for parents and carers. We don’t stop developing if we have a family, it’s not ‘special’ treatment to support parents in the workplace and line managers can play such a pivotal role for their teams, they deserve some help too.
You’ll now find me leading a small but wonderful team (all with their own exquisite specialisms and experiences) to collaborate with businesses who want to attract, retain and develop their utterly brilliant team members who happen to be parents and carers.
From crafting beautifully transformative strategies through to practical workshops, thoughtfully challenging unhelpful narratives and creating space for celebrating the good stuff – Power of the Parent® is the team to bring supportive, flexible and value adding action.
