    Understanding The Topics

Understanding Sex Discrimination, Sexism and Sexual Harassment in the workplace:

    Definitions and examples of each

Space for delegates to think of their own examples

A simple matching exercise to check understanding.

  • Two overlapping digital slides with purple headers labeled 'VIDEO' and pink sections with text about sexism and gender issues. The first slide shows images of women and mentions 'Laura Bates' and 'Sexism.' The second slide has reflection questions about sexism. The third slide displays a video player with the message 'I am your sister' and a disclaimer about language.

    Everyday Sexism

Understanding how things like sexism and objectification become ‘normalised’ in society.

Three videos plus reflection exercises and space for delegates to write their own reflections.

  • Guide on how to engage in banter, including sensitive topics to avoid, encouraging reflection on personal comfort levels with banter and situations where banter might be inappropriate.

    Banter & Harassment

This section is all about understanding banter, bullying & harassment and the fine line that divides them.

Delegates are invited to complete a powerful banter exercise looking at their own banter ‘no-go’ areas, and what they can conclude about others’ sensitivities.

  • An educational slide discussing consent and boundaries, with sections on who decides what is OK, emphasizing UK law protections, and a visual with a woman walking outdoors near a park. The slide includes purple, pink, and black colors and has a badge that reads #PoweredByDiversity Anti-Sex Discrimination.

    What's OK Today?

Understanding what’s OK today societally and for others includes a short video.

A chance for delegates to reflect on who gets to decide what’s OK in different scenarios.

  • Screenshot of a document or presentation slide titled 'Case Studies and Scenarios: Prianka' and 'Case Studies and Scenarios: Julie'. The slide contains instructions and a space for reflection on case studies related to sexual harassment and discrimination. There is a pink badge with black text '#Powered by Diversity Anti-Sex Discrimination' in the bottom right corner.

    Case Studies, Empathy & Allyship

Delegates are invited to read and reflect three different case studies and reflect on how they would support the main person.

Delegates are invited to explore empathy for people who have experienced sexism, harassment or discrimination and consider how they might show up as an ally.

  • A digital collage of social justice and anti-discrimination guides, featuring sections titled 'Holding Challenging Conversations', 'How to Land a Point and Move On', 'Feedback Works Both Ways', and 'Being on the Receiving End', with a prominent badge that reads '#Powered by Diversity Anti-Sex Discrimination' in pink and black.
