Lisa Shoko is a consultant, strategist, and advocate for equity and justice, specializing in race, inclusion, and leadership. Since 2019, she has been at the forefront of driving meaningful change, combining professional expertise with a deep commitment to social impact.

As the Co-Chair of the Liverpool City Region Race Equality Panel, Lisa has played a pivotal role in shaping policy and advancing racial equity, particularly within the health sector. Her work has influenced systemic change, ensuring that inclusion is not just a concept but a lived reality for communities across the region.

Lisa is also the founder of Venekai, an organisation passionate about transforming organisational culture. Venekai equips people with the tools and frameworks necessary to build inclusive and equitable workplaces, fostering environments where diversity is valued and systemic barriers are dismantled. The organisation is committed to enabling long-term change by building capabilities in people to implement strategies that are both meaningful and measurable. Its work spans culture diagnostics, senior leadership coaching, and anti-racism in healthcare, ensuring sustainable transformation that prioritises accessibility and structural reform.

Beyond her professional work, Lisa enjoys reading books, particularly on feminist theory and critical race theory, and watching thoughtful, informative documentaries. She finds peace in scenic walks and engages in ecotherapy as a way to connect with nature. Passionate about exploring new places and cultures, she continuously seeks to expand her perspectives and experiences.
