We're A Collective

One of our core values is collaboration over competition. We join forces with all the collaborators in the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) space who share our values. We believe that collectively we can create a wave of change bigger than any individual could achieve alone.

As a Collective we believe that the only way to achieve equity is by working together. Today we are a growing collective of over 400 EDI subject matter experts, speakers, trainers, coaches, authors and researchers.

Our Founder

Multi award winning digital product creator Cat Wildman decided in 2017 to channel her frustration with the lack of effective action in D&I into a solution.

Turning her core values into a business, Cat went on a mission to find like-minded people who shared her feelings of personal responsibility to make change happen - and Powered By Diversity was born.

Our Mission

For too long the needle on equity, diversity and inclusion hasn’t moved. For too long it’s felt like doing great things in DE&I was only a possibility for those who could afford expensive consultancy or a head of D&I. 

We didn’t think this was right or fair (and we were impatient with the speed at which change was happening) so we decided to change it.

We don’t believe there’s ‘one way’ to do great things in EDI - we don’t believe in forcing people or processes into moulds. We don’t believe in profiteering off the back of the EDI movement. We believe in equipping teams with affordable data, training and events, and empowering organisations to innovate and come up with their own ways of moving the needle.

Our ultimate Mission is to give organisations all the data, information, training and support they need to break their own new ground in EDI, without breaking the bank. 

How We Do It

We have so many experts in so many areas, it’s hard to think of something we don’t do, but essentially our work falls into three main categories; Live Events, Training and Data/ diagnostics using our award-winning EDI Health Check.

EDI Health Check

In 2022 we realised the cultural calendar wasn’t working. It was expensive and time consuming to keep up with and many employees were feeling left out. We created Cultural Calendar Club to solve the problem.

It’s 12 Months of incredible Live EDI talks and events, made financially accessible for all organisations.

The next thing we launched was our Diversity Ambassador Certification program. We created this to empower those looking after EDI in their organisations to makes an impact.

We’ve trained over 200 confident Diversity Ambassadors so far.

Powered By Diversity started out with three years of research to create our award-winning EDI Health Check. We want you to invest in EDI, knowing you are solving problems you definitely have. We also want you to be able to affordably track the impact of your EDI work year on year.
